The Company:
Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry.

The Role:
As an Asset Integrity Management Consultant you will be responsible for the provision, quality and timely delivery of work based on client agreed briefs and targets as well as being expected to take a pro-active role in developing new business and products for the group. Asset Integrity encompasses a wide range of activities, including equipment integrity and ‘fitness for purpose’, HSE issues, legislative compliance, reliability improvement, application of best practice and operational improvement. Your preferred working style will be facilitative, participative and process driven. You will of course be expected to ensure all company policies and procedures are followed as well as taking part in personal development and training as appropriate. Your work will often take place on the client’s sites, onshore and offshore, involving both domestic and foreign travel.

The job often requires the ability to solve a wide range of challenging problems on behalf of the client, delivering cost effective, optimum, value add solutions.

Required Knowledge & Experience
• An excellent safety record.
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in a management, technical engineering or consultancy position ideally in an operations, maintenance or engineering environment.
• Able to work at all levels within an a client organisation.
• Experience of facilitating/delivering improvement/change projects, which focus on equipment integrity/engineering reliability/legislative compliance/maintenance practices.
• Ability to work both on a ‘stand-alone’ basis or as a member of a multi-discipline team
• Operating plant experience with responsibility for technical management in pressure systems (vessels, piping or fired equipment).
• Knowledge of the UK and European regulatory environment or its local equivalent and its impact upon cost effective and safe production.
• Experience of managing relationships either on an internal or external (client) basis.
• Comfortable with working in unfamiliar environments, such as where English is the second language or cultural issues dominate.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
You will be qualified to Degree level or equivalent in an appropriate technical discipline, with either current chartered membership or the necessary qualifications and experience to gain such membership of a UK professional engineering institution.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Ideally 5 to 10 years or more experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Detailed knowledge of the oil & gas sector (onshore and offshore) and ideally one or more of the following sectors: - process chemical, petrochemical, pulp and paper or metals industries.
• Experience working internationally.
• Experience of multi-discipline projects and studies as the team member, leader or project manager.
