The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply. Owned by a global energy leader with operations across five continents

The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Audit, Australia and as the Principal Risk Auditor, within the Group Audit team, you will provide business risk assurance and controls advice to the Company's worldwide operations, identifying opportunities for better management of business risks.

Planning and delivering audits across the Company business; being involved in aspects of business projects to support risk identification and management, promoting a culture of risk and controls awareness; and delivering improvements in performance through supporting risk and controls awareness.

The Principal Risk Auditor will be Brisbane based, with expected travel to the Company's assets as part of reviewing aspects of the Company's operations and projects. It is expected for 2-3 weeks, although this should not be more than once or twice a year.

Possessing international experience, and exposure to managing a range of risk-based business or audit assignments will be highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to work independent and in teams of qualified/professional staff in the delivery of focused audits or project deliverables, providing value-adding recommendations; you will also possess strong and efficient communication and influential skills.

With the flexibility to adapt knowledge and skills to new situations and challenges, you will find innovative and effective solutions to issues, working within unstructured environments, and execute multiple tasks to achieve quality results within prescribed timelines and deliverables.

As the successful candidate, you would have had relevant exposure to senior management across a range of working and mulitcultural environments.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
You will be a chartered accountant, with commercial experience, and can demonstrate longevity within your work history within a Lead Auditor capacity.
