The Company:
With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK.

The Role:
Provide C&P support, co-located with our key stakeholder Well Engineering.

To lead and administrate the full tendering cycle from ITT development through to contract administration and close-out of Drilling, Well Engineering and Exploration Contracts. This role will work as part of an integrated team together with other stakeholders e.g. HSSE, Legal, Finance and Operations, whilst adhering to the C&P Policies and Standards.

Effectively manage and minimise risk exposure to the business through the timely placement of appropriate contracts and agreements, covering all third party contracted support for wells and drilling services in particular the Jackdaw project.

Involved in creating and implementing (in cooperation with C&P Drillex Category in company) the strategies for the Europe E&P Contracts & Procurement Drillex strategic spend categories:-

Supporting the company to grow procurement strategies for drilling and well services.

Gather and analyse business and market intelligence to support strategic decision making

Develop cost models as an evaluation tool

Ensuring strategic fit and risk management for a number of projects managed by Europe E&P

At an operational level involved in:-

Supplier portfolio development across business units regionally

Active collaboration and engagement with suppliers/contractors

Supporting projects and investments decided in cooperation with the operating units

Key Accountabilities

Drive rig, drilling services and well tangibles procurement activities on behalf of the company, leading strategic sourcing processes and managing the supply chain process.

Forge collaborative relationships with technical counterparts to understand project demands and market requirements within Well Engineering

Lead and execute strategic sourcing processes

Supply & Demand and associated market analysis

Development of overall and specific well engineering procurement strategies

Development of tender packages and lead/coordinate complete tender processes

Prepare contractual documentation in accordance with Company procedures

Vendor evaluation, negotiation and contract award

Drive and perform Contract Administration / Supplier Relationship Management

Advise internal customer on procurement issues

Management of Contractor, company, C&P Projects and Demand Manager relationships for successful contract awards.

Placing purchase orders and following up on relevant operational issues.

Develop and maintain productive and positive relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders.

Apply and assure compliance with Company processes and governing C&P Policies and Standards.

Arranges the compilation, analysis, application and dissemination of management information, including appropriate KPIs to facilitate decision making, performance measurement and performance improvement.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. Supply Chain Management, Business Studies, law, would be desirable

CIPS Membership desirable

Broad experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas Industry including of which relevant experience in developing and negotiation of drilling rigs, tangibles and services agreements. Experience gained within an operator environment would be beneficial.

Broad understanding of the upstream oil and gas industry, including a sound appreciation of the technical aspects that drive the commercial aspects of projects.

Good technical understanding/interest in drilling operations and thorough knowledge of UK industry regulations.

Experienced in supporting large scale and high value sourcing (USD 75 million) for drilling and well activities in the UKCS.

Demonstrable ability to forge strong stakeholder relationships.
