The Company:

The Role:
The Principal Civil/Structural Engineer is primarily responsible for proposing and supervising application of design and engineering standards of the civil works at the Company. The civil work consists of site prep-work, buildings, pilings, marine works and surface and subsurface preparation and protection. Monitor the design and specifications of the civil/structural and all marine works as per the design and project specification requirements. Coordinate the civil design activities and monitor and supervise the construction and installation of related civil and structural activities including site prep work, piling installation, form work, rebar installation, concrete mix design and placement, steel and platform installation.

The Principal Civil/Structural Engineer will provide mentoring for all Civil Engineers, and stay abreast of current civil engineering and design developments though participation in Industry technical shows and committees. This position will initially be located in Houston, TX and will relocate to Hackberry, LA. Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) will be required.

* Ensures fit-for-purpose engineering of the civil/structural and marine works by means of application of appropriate technical design and engineering standards in conjunction with the EPC Contractor and any subcontractors.
* Serves as the Civil/Structural Lead Engineer or project planner, manager and coordinator for civil/structural engineering activities on technical complex portion of projects and serve as individual contributor role as the Civil/Structural expert completing technically complex civil/structural engineering assignments.
* Develop plan, and evaluates and recommends solutions for Civil/Structural analysis and design related to the project.
* Responsible for Civil/Structural Engineering & Design Status Reports.
* Manages and coordinates the civil/structural activities to team of Engineers & Designers and provides technical supervision of the day-to-day activities of tasks assigned to personnel.
* Coordinates work of subordinated with other disciplines, work with and communicates with organization project management team.
* Supervises and prepares proposals, contract design calculations and drawings, contract information (CI) sheets, Basic Engineering Design Documents (BEDD) sheets, specifications and Civil/Structural engineering documentation using standards and/or new methods as required.
* Approves and issues drawings, CI/BEDD sheets and other civil/structural engineer documents.
* Supervises the preparation or prepare technical specifications for purchased equipment.
* Prepares technical evaluation of supplier's proposals and coordinate and interface with equipment suppliers.
* Makes verbal and written presentations to customers, suppliers and internally within the organization.
* Reviews civil/structural calculations, drawings, CI/BEDD sheets, specifications and other engineering documentation for compliance with contract requirements, good engineering practices, codes and standards.
* Provides technical supervision to civil/structural engineers and other technical personnel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structuring Engineering.
* 10 years of civil/structural engineering experience.
* LNG experience
* Ability to design and solve engineering problems with minimal assistance.
* Experience providing technical leadership for civil/structural engineering projects with substantial complexity and scope.
* Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude.
* Proven communication skills and ability to perform within a cross-function
