The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
For our client we are looking for a Principal Commercial Advisor – Greenhouse Gas to maximise the commercial position and opportunities for our client in dealings with third parties for all Greenhouse Gas Management related commercial structures and agreements.

In this role you will be accountable for the delivery and project/opportunity management of key GHG offset programs. Your key deliverables include, but are not limited to;

- Significantly contribute to GHG strategy framing and development for the company’s project which results in high quality management, set in the context of a highly dynamic external environment.
- Participate in industry representations to government or directly on matters relating to GHG and climate change policy.
- Develop negotiation strategies and represent the company and their joint venture partners’ position and interest in commercial negotiations with third parties to deliver successful outcomes.
- Provide advice on commercial matters as required to ensure business and investment decisions are made on sound commercial terms and to avoid or mitigate exposure to risks and liabilities.
- Research and compile commercial information, including management of specialist due diligence, legal, market analysis consultancies.
- Maintain awareness of relevant external developments in GHG management through industry contacts, public information, networks and conferences.
- Ensure appropriate budget allocations are included, monitor and manage costs in line with budget.
- Apply risk and opportunity management processes to define priorities and drive work and resource planning.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you will have strong relevant industry experience in addition to strong experience in the commercial management of projects. In addition you will have experience with a large range of commercial structures and entities. You will have excellent negotiation skills and strong team working skills. Experience with GHG related projects will be viewed favourably.
