The Role:
• In the conduct of all engineering activities, ensure a safe and environmentally responsible operation.
• Ensure effective and timely close out of Synergy and ICP action.
• Conduct periodic offshore "cold eye" observations (e.g., during otherwise planned site visits) and produce timely reports.
• Participate in regular performance management dialogues with Chief Facilities Engineer.
• Responsible as Job Engineer for the progress and response to Technical Queries.
• As Job Engineer within the AFA process develop solutions/proposal to AFAs.
• Prepare and issue for approval, Statement of Requirements (SOR) for engineering works.
• Supervise study work and preparation of Basis of Design (BOD) documents as required.
• Prepare or supervise the preparation of Construction Workpacks for AFAs.
• Control and manage costs associated with AFAs as Job Engineer in conjunction with client's Cost/Planning Engineer.
• Review and comment when necessary on technical documents produced by Vendors, 3rd party contractors and client's Engineering Contractor.
• Approve Electrical Engineering technical documents as necessary.
• Preparation of AFEs and associated documentation for approval.
• Participate or lead pre-startup audits when required.
• Perform, when requested, quality control of vendor's work associated with client's business activities.
• Co-ordinate with Engineering contractors, vendors and 3rd parties to ensure client priorities and reputation is maintained.
• Participate in risk assessment, root cause Analysis and safety operational assessments.
• Review and comment on AFA construction workpacks
• Project management of engineering modification work being carried out within client or by vendor or 3rd parties.
• Provide discipline comment to AFA Technical Queries (TQs)
• Promote technological innovations that can be economically exploited to improve safety or production performance for client facilities.
• When necessary direct and supervise Electrical Engineers within client, vendors and 3rd parties.
• Participation in Emergency Response team as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualified to degree level in Electrical Engineering
Similar experience gained within an engineering organisation within North Sea oil and gas environment

Strong safety awareness
Drive and performance delivery focus
Strong technical understanding
