The Company:
Our client is one of the largest providers of energy consultancy and engineering support services in the Uk. Within the nuclear sector they have an exceptional reputation for delivering innovative, cost-effective business and engineering solutions to owners, operators, regulators and suppliers to nuclear licensed sites.

The Role:
Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience ideally gained within distribution or transmission network operators, engineering consultancy, equipment suppliers or client organisation
Being responsible for the technical authority of your project teams and client organisations.
Acting as the lead contact within our client organisation and being able to develop trust and confidence in our ability to deliver electrical engineering solutions
To manage project teams to meet the needs and requirements of our clients.
Being able to develop and mentor junior engineers.
Able to work flexibly to travel to the other Clients offices.
Ideally you will be a Chartered Electrical Engineer
Degree qualified within an Electrical or Electrical and Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent
Previously worked at a senior level within the power generation or power networks sector.
Have previous experience of acting as the technical authority for electrical engineering designs of your project teams.
Experience of providing solution across a range of electrical engineering problems from concept, feasibility through to completion.
Experience of managing a group of engineers within this sector including supervising and mentoring.Experience of developing networks within complex organisation and being responsible for managing relationships both internally and within client organisations.
Able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills
Able to work either independently or as part of a team
Able to demonstrate a good level of competency in all Microsoft Office applications
Candidates should also possess a full UK driving license.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HV/EHV (132/275/400kV) Substation Development
132/275/400kV Substation Electrical Plant Design and Configuration
GIS experience would be a major advantage

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in one of more of the following areas would also be an advantage:
Preparation of Specifications for HV/EHV (132/275/400kV) Substations
Review of EPC detail design for HV/EHV (132/275/400kV) Substations
Protection and control design, Earthing design, Network planning and project development, Power System Analysis, Project management of HV and EHV substation construction, Site management of substation construction, Overhead line design
