Principal Engineer - Lead Pressure Vessel Engineer

External Description:
Scope of activitiesAll technical activities associated with the design and procurement of Pressure Vessels and Atmospheric Storage Tanks in accordance with client requirements, for Oil & Gas Industries (off-shore & On-shore Industries), Refineries & Petro-chemical complexes in accordance with client requirements, codes, standards, etc. Responsible for the complete cycle of equipment specification, supplier selection, and supplier drawing and documents review.

Both offshore & onshore project experience is preferred Key responsibilities
•Prepare and issue Technical specifications for Pressure Vessels and Atmospheric Storage Tanks
•Conduct Engineering Calculations for the design of Pressure Vessels (Towers and Drums) and Atmospheric Storage Tanks
•Prepare Mechanical Pressure Vessel datasheets.
•Coordination with other engineering disciplines and conduct technical peer reviews.
•Preparation of Equipment Requisition Packages for Inquiry
•Technical evaluation of bids, preparation and issue of Technical Bid Tabs.
•Preparation of Equipment Requisition for purchase
•Vendor’s documents, calculations and drawings review
•Vendor technical coordination, clarifications and assistance
•Visit vendor facilities to resolve issues
•Prepare and Issue Technical (AutoCad) Vessel overall and detail drawings
•Meet and coordinate with Client counterparts
•Capable of leading a group of engineers working with him as Lead engineerProven Experience
•Must have more than 12-15 years engineering experience in the Design of Pressure Vessels and Atmospheric Storage Tanks with companies providing engineering services to the Chemical, Refining and Petro-Chemical industry on conceptual Engineering, FEED (Front End Engineering Design), Detail Design and Consultation Projects. Must be having experience as a Lead engineer in some major projects
•Capable of interpreting P& ID’s, Process data sheets & other process related matters
•Thorough knowledge of control & instrumentation of all the heat transfer equipments & shall co-ordinate with Instrument group
•Capable & having experience to be as a lead engineer.Minimum requirements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•In-depth knowledge in the Design of Pressure Vessels and Atmospheric Tanks
•Familiar with the ANSI, ASME, API, ASTM, AWS, AISI, NACE and OSHA codes, standards and applications
•Proficiency in using COMPRESS & PV-ELITE programs for Pressure Vessels and API-TANK for Atmospheric Tanks design
•Proficiency in AutoCad to produce Vessel and Tankdrawings
•Possess a strong knowledge of the following standards, amongst others:- ASME, Section VIII, Div 1 & 2 - Pressure Vessels. - API 650, Atmospheric Storage Tank Specification.- API 620, Design and Construction of Large, Welded, Low-Pressure Storage Tanks
•Fluent in both English and Spanish is preferred.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Must have previous offshore experience
•Minimum BSc in Mechanical engineering
