The Role:
The Role:
Responsible for managing environmental workscopes on design projects and in support of Duty Holder Assets including but not limited to:
• Legislative compliance (preferably both offshore and onshore)
• ENVIDs / Aspects Registers.
• Environmental Impact Assessments.
• Engineering studies.
• Atmospheric emissions modelling.

The post will report into the Studies Group Lead Engineer (Rosalyn Masson) and be provided with technical direction from the Lead Environmental Engineer (Jill Rennie). The successful candidate will be required to:
• Provide technical leadership for junior environmental engineering personnel within the Studies Group
• Coach and develop lower level professionals.
• Act as the designated focal point on certain jobs e.g. plan, budget, organise, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program.
• Work within a multi-discipline engineering team.
• Assist the Lead with development of the environmental engineering business both within the company and externally.
• Delivery of environmental training.

This role calls for a flexible individual who enjoys the challenges of project work and team spirit and who would like to be part of a growing environmental team within a leading Engineering Contractor.

Main Duties:
Proven experience will typically include:
• Environmental impact assessments, emissions modelling, philosophy development, aspects registers, permits & consents, ENVIDs.
• Ability to plan and cost small to large project environmental engineering scopes, including development of cost estimates.
• Ability to scope work for, and manage external consultancies.
• Liaising with project teams, clients and external regulatory bodies.
• Ability to develop an environmental business.
• Ability to validate designs against established standards and challenge where appropriate.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
o Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree level qualification in an engineering subject.
o MSc in related subject considered a bonus.
o BOSIET considered a bonus.
o Excellent oral and written communication skills.
o Competencies as defined by K568 level.
o Ability to work autonomously / must be able to integrate into a team but also work under own initiative.
