The Role:
Location- Renfrew

Due to the continued growth strategy of our clients Core Engineering Team they have a current opening for a suitably qualified and experienced Principal Equipment Engineer to join their existing team in the effective delivery of Power, Process and Nuclear projects.

Reporting directly to the Equipment and Piping Section Manager you will be responsible for the specification, selection and engineering of equipment such as fans, dampers, pumps, compressors, and other items of equipment for the Power, Process and Nuclear industries.

Proven expertise in solving technical issues with Fans and Air heaters is desirable.

You will be additionally responsible for executing Project engineering activities as required, ensuring delivery of engineering aspects of projects to budget and program.

An appreciation of statutory legislation such as DSEAR, PER, PSSR and ATEX would be advantageous.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will be Chartered Engineers, MIMechE or MIChemE (or experience commensurate with an Engineering Council Registered Engineer).
You will have a number of years experience as senior / principal engineer within a similar environment and have team leading experience. You will have extensive experience of producing manhour and equipment estimates for Conceptual, Feasibiliity, FEED and EPC project delivery.
You will be an exceptional communicator with proven effectiveness in the optimisation of quality vs time vs cost.
