They are experiencing a significant demand for their expertise in the area of new build and upgrade of both conventional and nuclear power plants.

The Role:
Location - Renfrew (preferably) or Gateshead or West Cumbria

Due to the continued growth strategy of our clients Core Engineering Team they have a current opening for a suitably qualified and experienced Principal Mechanical - HVAC Engineer to join their existing team in the effective delivery of Nuclear Engineering projects.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for supporting Nuclear Engineering Projects in the provision of Full Technical Solutions to engineering enquiry packages received from clients.

Responsible for originating, checking and approving (where applicable) design output including; design calculations, design analysis, design reviews, design plans and risk assessments.

You will be additionally responsible for executing Project Engineering activities on contracts as required, ensuring delivery of engineering aspects of projects to budgets, and programme timescales that meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will be Chartered Engineers, MIMechE or MIChemE (or Experience commensurate with) Engineering Council Registered Engineer.
Extensive experienced in HVAC/ Building Services Engineering with knowledge of industry codes and practices engineering for nuclear licensed sites, such as PED, PSSR, CDM, etc. to support the Nuclear New Build Projects.
Supplier Management experience is essential.
You will have a number of years experience as a senior engineer, leading, managing and developing Nuclear Engineering projects.
You will be an exceptional communicator with proven effectiveness in the optimisation of quality vs. time vs. cost.
