The Company:
Our client is a Global Engineering & Construction (E&C) Group inside which you’ll find an incredible range of expertise and opportunity.
They offer their clients a complete range of skills and services so that they can work with their teams right from the earliest ‘ideas’ stage of their planned investments, through the study or concept selection phase, the front-end design, the EPC phase, and on into the commissioning and start-up phase.

The Role:
To manage and lead business related work to achieve expected standards of quality, efficiency, ethics and compliance with Company policies and to support the effective and profitable performance of the Operations.
To provide Group engineering services to a standard and proficiency commensurate with the clients Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Assurance (HSEQ) System.
Maintain a contemporary technical and managerial competency through familiarity and knowledge of the Clients HSEQ System and through knowledge and learning of developments in the Group subject area.
The execution of proposal and project work, in a Project Leader, Lead Discipline, engineer or consultative capacity.
To provide technical input into project deliverables, or to recognise personal development needs.
Authorisation of documents.
To develop and provide specialist skills and judgement in areas of recognised personal competence.
To act as focal point for complex or problem technical issues and to ensure that actions are ascribed and closed out.
To understand the nature of technical risks, during design, construction and eventful operation of the Plant, and be able to undertaken quantitative risk assessments.
To input and promote a regime of continuous improvement and value enhancement within the Group.
To review and appraise the skills, capabilities and competencies of the Group and provide advice and action closure for areas of development need. Ensure that the resources, including temporary or Agency personnel, possess the correct qualities and presence to fulfil the role ascribed to them.
Review and appraise opportunities for professional development for self and people within the Group
To initiate and support the promotion, dissemination and contribution towards a healthy, safe, environmentally sound and secure working environment, in the home office, on projects and during visits and periods on site or in other offices. To be aware of response and actions required, and to implement these actions, in the event of excursions from the safe conditions.
To be self motivated and also able to work in a team, including motivating and encouraging, and be able to achieve goals.
To manage, lead, motivate and inspire staff.
To represent the Client in a professional, conscientious and ethical manner.
To undertake Discipline Audits and Technical Audits.
To act as Chief Specialist Engineer during a period of the latter’s absence.
To undertake prescribed duties of a Chief Specialist Engineer as advised in writing.
To advise the Chief Specialist Engineer of any significant issues relating to the performance of the Group and to initiate and discuss plans to deal with issues.
