Our Client appears in the FTSE 100 index and is an international energy services company specializing in Oil and Gas and has annual revenues of over £2.6 billion. They believe that it is the people that drive their success, from Project Managers, Project Engineers, consultants to designers and commercial personnel. They work globally employing over 20,000 people on major operations including the UK

The Role:
Main duties of the role will be to participate with Instrument Engineers and Designers, third party vendors, Client Engineers , Technical safety Engineers, etc to

◦Carry out a comprehensive review of the existing F&G system
◦Install a new replacement F&G microprocessor-based system with VDU graphics, in order to meet the relevant safety, technical and performance standards
◦Carry out phased, on-line, transfer of all F&G I/O from old to new system
◦Destruct the redundant F&G system
◦Carry out offshore surveys to confirm as-built status of all F&G system interface terminations e.g. ESD, EIRC.
◦Participate in formal F&G cause and effects reviews, Design, safety, HAZID / HAZARD assessments / reviews's, constructability reviews etc conducted by onshore and offshore personnel from Operations, Safety, Instrument and Electrical disciplines.
◦Input to the Fire & Gas Philosophy documents and User Requirement Specification to obtain firm quotations from F&G System Vendors.
◦Assist in closeout.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree or equivalent in an Instrument engineering discipline, HNC / HND Acceptable
•Emergency / Process Shutdown ( ESD / PSD ) Systems
•Fire and Gas ( F & G ) Systems
•Process / Distributed Control Systems ( PCS / DCS )
•Sub-Sea Control Systems ( SSCS )
•Programmable Logic Controllers ( PLC )
•Metering Systems
•Package Vendor Interface Management
•BOSIET/FOET Offshore Survival Certificate and Medical is essential as a number of verification surveys are required
