The Role:
• Responsible for preparation of CTR's and input to estimates (MTO's etc.) and for weekly reporting of progress against the CTR's for direct report
• Co-ordinate the assigned discipline engineers/designers within the small team ensuring technical quality and timely work performance
• Ensure the co-ordination of the work with other disciplines on all multi-discipline project
• To ensure that the work allocated is completed in compliance with Line Managers requirements including work of others in team
• Ensure project deliverables are generated via AkiMS where applicable
• Take a proactive approach in organising and planning own work activities and the work of other in team as appropriate
• Work within agreed manhours and schedules
• Liaise with other disciplines on design, fabrication, construction and commissioning issues and direct designer activities
• Review and check the work of others
• Ensure that discipline project files are prepared and maintained in accordance with project procedures
• Ensuring that all Engineers, Designers, and CAD Operators are fully acquainted with the appropriate use of AKIMS and PEM.
• To coach less experienced members within the team to assist with their development.
• Ensure the compliance of the design and procurement activities with company procedures and all relevant statutory regulations, codes and standards.
• Obtain a defined scope of work from the Lead engineer or Project Engineer.
• Ensure that the workscope is fully defined and in accordance with the clients requirements
• To ensure recognition of changes to scope of work and preparation of Change Requests as appropriate
• Review the work carried out by personnel in the group for accuracy, technical quality and fitness for purpose utilising own experience and PEM.
• Review documents and drawings produced by the group and ensure that single and inter-discipline checks are carried out in accordance with company / project procedures and PEM.
• Assist procurement and project engineering personnel in the procurement of equipment and materials.
• Carry out tasks as package responsible engineer for systems packages and instrument field device packages as assigned by the Lead Engineer.
• Carry out tasks as discipline responsible engineer for support of mechanical and electrical packages as assigned by the Lead Engineer.
• Apply for deviations to standards where applicable via the Lead Engineer
• The preparation of documents, deliverables and calculations
• Carry out manual/computer analysis of systems and field instruments as appropriate
• Provide input to weight estimates as appropriate
• Identify any offshore / onshore survey requirements.
• Carry out onshore or offshore site surveys as required
• Apply experience and professional knowledge to provide solutions
• Review and comment on vendor supplied information
• Carry out vendor package inspection and testing on behalf of the project
• Prepare input to construction workpacs
• Prepare input to commissioning procedures
• Keep up to date with professional and industry developments
• Take personal responsibility for HSE local site rules and ensure regular review of your personal HSE agreement
• Intervene and ensure intervention by others where required
• Report all accidents, incidents and near misses in accordance with Procedures
• Keep abreast of industry developments and innovations that may affect safety and welfare of personnel or protection of the environment, and inform colleagues accordingly

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Educated to HNC/HND level in engineering discipline
• Educated to degree level in engineering discipline
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
• Sound working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
• Conversant with appropriate technical software
• Aware of latest technical developments
• Current Offshore Survival Certificate.
• Current Offshore Medical Certificate.
• Ability to estimate, plan & execute work effectively.
