The Company:
An Oil and Gas Company

The Role:
Planning, engineering, design, procurement and construction of Instrumentation for Oil &Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical Projects.
Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards as well as Company Policies, Procedures and guidelines.
Development/ improvement of department Procedures and Processes.
Supervise, lead and guide project team(s) to design and build within safety, quality, scope, quantity, cost, schedule and productivity targets.
Plan, monitor, control and report the progress.
Provide consultation/ guidance and mentor less experienced engineers and designers.
Coordination of Instrumentation engineering and design with other engineering disciplines, construction, Client, vendors and 3rd party Contractors.
Ensure and perform effective scope and change management.
Design, prepare, review and approval the following deliverables:
Scope of work, Design Basis and execution plans.
Process Control Systems, Safety Instrumented Systems, PLC, Asset Management System, HIPPS, System Integration, Analyzers, Fire & Gas, Telecommunication and security system.
Sizing and selection of control / safety valves, inline & offline instruments.
System Specifications.
Control Room and RIE layouts.
Architectural/ block diagrams, graphics.
Cause and effect diagrams.
Control and interlock narratives.
Using SPI (InTools), development of Instrument index, I/O list, datasheets, calculation sheets, loop diagrams, wiring diagram. Experience with SPI Administrator module is a plus.
Cable schedule
Review and approval of design drawings such as location plans, layouts, panel/ termination details, installation details, schedules.
Liason with other JGC offices when involved in workshare assignment.
Guide, support and participate in Design Reviews for 3D Modelling, HAZOP, SIL/ LOPA, Constructability and Value Engineering.
Procurement support including Inquiry Requisition, Technical Bid Evaluations, Purchase Requisition, vendor drawing review and FAT.
Procurement support and vendor drawing review for Mechanical packages and other disciplines.
Provide support to construction, commissioning and start-up.
Support Proposals including review of ITT, clarifications, estimation of engineering manhours, material quantities and cost. Experience in estimation of manhours, quantities and cost is a plus.
Perform Field visits/ surveys.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree.
More than 20 years of Instrumentation engineering and design experience including 8 years in leadership role.
Licensed Professional Engineer in the United States.
Familiarity and experience with industry codes and standards.
Strong leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Suppliers in the United States.

LNG Projects
Lump-sum Turnkey EPC Projects.
MAC
Licensed Professional Engineer in Canada.
