Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
Role Outline
Following the increasing demand for our offshore oil and gas related services particularly in the areas of Asset life extension, Safety and Engineering Services, the Aberdeen office of our client is expanding and there is a requirement for a Principal Lead Consultant.

As a Principal Lead Consultant, leading the Aberdeen team you will be accountable for:
•Achieving the Revenue and Margin Targets for the offshore consultancy Business
•With central recruitment recruiting personnel to hit the staff targets to deliver projects
•Working with other Managers within consultancy to ensures projects are adequately staffed by using local and/or remote staff
•The provision, quality and timely delivery of all work based on clients agreed requirements and targets.
•Managing the delivery of work carried out by teams as well as other individuals.
•Achieving an identified personal utilisation target for contract work delivery.
•Fulfilling the role of Contract Manager for the successful delivery of work to achieve required target margins.
•Taking a pro-active role in developing and securing new business to meet agreed financial levels of target income. This will involve leading liaison activities with members of the Business Development team and client Consulting hubs regarding new prospects; providing information for potential clients; writing proposals, supporting major bids and estimating the costs and resources required to deliver work.
•Providing proactive support of marketing activities within the team to support the growth of the business. This may include, for example, presentations of technical papers at seminars or training events.
•Providing strong input regarding innovation and development of products within the Integrity Management team. You may be identified as an owner for particular products and be required to lead product development.
•You will ensure a high focus on safety through all the activities you undertake with our client.
•Your preferred working style will be facilitative, participative and process driven.
•You will be expected to follow all company policies and procedures and take part in personal development and training as appropriate.
•Delivery work will often take place on the client’s sites, both onshore and offshore and will involve regular travel.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
•Qualified to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate technical discipline.
•Currently chartered membership.
•An excellent safety record.
•Experience in a management, technical engineering or consultancy position, ideally in an operations, integrity management, maintenance or engineering environment.
•Detailed knowledge of the offshore oil & gas sector
•Energetic and highly motivated as this is a rapidly expanding division of our client Consulting business.
•Experience of developing and maintaining excellent client relationships on an internal or external (client) basis.
•Ability to develop the business through the marketing and sale of services, e.g. industry presentations / workshops, participating in industry working groups, client meetings / presentations, development of proposals and contractual negotiations.
