The Company:
Our Client is a Global leader in the Oil & Gas industry. They are currently experiencing rapid growth and development on projects in many locations. Due to this they have an ever growing need for the best Engineers available.

The Role:
To provide mechanical engineering expertise and support to the Offsite Project management of the onshore plant during the Tranche 3 Experimental Programme. This includes detailed design, construction and commissioning.

Supervise and review Engineering Contractor documentation during the execution of detailed design, procurement and, in later stages, construction activities ensuring the quality and cost control of the works according to the contract requirements, and guaranteeing the project targets (timing, cost and quality) are correctly met.

Provide technical expertise and support for technical queries for the EPC Contractor

Provide technical input in line with project requirements into technical studies and basis of design for onshore production and process facilities for the project

Ensure smooth and effective transfer of data and information between Contractor and from and between the contractors and Agip Client.

Lead the identification, creation and/or adoption of appropriate mechanical engineering standards with appropriate consideration for Kazakhstan national standards and norms.

Identify and assess correct technologies and systems to facilitate improvements in design and operability of large scale field development projects.

Advise on mechanical equipment standardisation, availability and sparing philosophies.

Assess capabilities and limitations of industrial infrastructure in Kazakhstan and incorporate in development planning and risk mitigation processes.

Undertake technical integrity and HSE reviews & audits

Participate in process safety management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of ten years discipline experience (preferably in complex onshore and offshore oil and gas projects) from front end engineering through detailed design, delivery and operation. Including all aspects of mechanical and machinery design (piping and structure specification, stress analysis, heat exchangers, air coolers, heaters and boilers, towers , pressure vessels design, pump design, compressor design etc)
Experience in handling waxy crude and in mitigation of all the relevant operational problems
Experience in the design and operation of high H2S content facilities with stringent HSE requirements
Experience in Russian Federation and/or Caspian region would be an advantage
