The Role:
Our Client, a leading international service & solutions provider to the global Oil & Gas Industry are looking to appoint a Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer with Static Equipment experience for their team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution and co-ordination of the technical procurement activities of assigned procurement packages, with a specific focus on Static Equipment. In addition to contributing to the technical development of the discipline.

Key responsibilities:
* Managing design interfaces for static equipment.
* Compiling Technical Requisitions & Specifications for Enquiry and Purchase Order.
* Execution of technical Pre-Order Activities.
* Evaluating Supplier solutions for static equipment.
* Managing static equipment testing and acceptance.
* Planning, execution and co-ordination of technical procurement follow up activities.
* Execution and co-ordination of supplier documents and drawings review.
* Execution of technical close out activities and technical supplier performance evaluation.
* Specialist knowledge of thermal and mechanical design of heat exchangers desirable.

Key skills/attributes:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Chartered Engineer status is very highly desirable
* Experience in engineering and technical procurement activities associated with process and/or utility static equipment in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related industries
* Experience in a lead engineer role desirable but not essential
* Good communication skills
