Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Principal / Lead Onshore Pipelines Engineer to join our client's North West Office on an ongoing contract basis.

As part of a long term alliance with a major Oil & Gas client based in Kuwait our client are undertaking major revamp and modification/upgrade projects to help modernize their client’s Main Gathering Center located at Wafra, Kuwait with many sub-centers throughout the three main oil fields that require modifications and further expansion.

The ideal candidate will be a Lead Onshore Pipelines Engineer with a proven track record in brownfield onshore oil and gas development projects to help support and grow a UK based project engineering design team that will execute FEED and detailed design projects as part of the overall modernisation project.

Responsibilities:
The Pipeline Engineering Department works closely with other engineers and our client's customers to complete conceptual and detailed design of onshore cross country pipelines around the world.
Carrying out pipeline design calculations in accordance with international design codes for line sizing, crossings, buoyancy control, etc
Documentation of calculations in accordance with corporate standards
Selection and/or preparation of design specifications, execution plans and design details
Identifying and expediting information required from other engineering and drafting disciplines
Checking of work carried out by engineers

Design Completion of alignment sheets, design details and crossing drawings

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Chartered engineer status preferred.
Substantial years related experience
Well versed in pipeline design codes.
Familiar with designs for gas, liquid and multiphase pipelines.
Strong team player
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
