The Company:
Our client is an international energy service company with £5bn sales, employing more than 29,000 people worldwide and operating in 50 countries.

The Role:
•Support the Lead Engineer in department activities.
•Produce engineering deliverables for inclusion in workpacks.
•Supervise discipline design project or asset team.
•Good experience of PDMS essential
•Must have Brownfield Oil and Gas experience.
•Offshore survey experience and current BOSIET preferred.
•Deliver all piping engineering discipline design activities to cost, schedule and quality criteria.
•Prepare piping drawings and design deliverables to the required technical quality with minimum input from engineering personnel.
•Implement Company, and where applicable, Client/Project policies and procedures.
•Supervision of design personnel and allocation of work.
•Approval, checking and preparation of design documentation.
•Undertake tasks on behalf Lead Engineer as directed.
•Undertake work in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards and Procedures.
•Liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel, vendors, etc.
•Ensure all design drawings and documents are completed within the allocated hours and in accordance with the programme.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•HNC in Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
•ONC in Mechanical Engineer
•Proven trade record at the required position
•Significant experience in the petrochemical/oil & gas engineering industry.
•Considerable experience of offshore / onshore site survey practices and procedures.
•Experience of checking procedures.
•Some supervisory experience.
•Thorough knowledge of engineering materials used within discipline.
•Knowledgeable in the requirements and needs of other disciplines
•Skilled in the application of discipline design principles
•Sufficient post-qualification experience to be considered as skilled in their respective discipline.
•Experience in team supervising.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Computer literate in Microsoft Office Applications
•Proficient in the use of relevant CAD software
•Able to supervise and motivate design team
•Able to keep discipline and resolve conflict
•Ability to investigate and interpret data
•Ability to be responsive and open to changing circumstances
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Good communication skills
