The Company:
Our client is a leading Global EPC contractor. They are currently looking to recruit up to 5 Principal Process Engineers to work at their office in Milton Keynes

The Role:
The Principal Process Engineer will be responsible for the process configuration and optimization study. It is also expected that the Principal Process Engineer will be involved in the preparation of design basis and philosophy documents (safeguarding, shutdown, relief & blowdown, isolation & maintenance)

Technology evaluation and selection, including economic assessment is the responsibility of the Principal Process Engineer as is Process modelling and simulation

The Principal Process Engineer will be involved in the preparation of PFDs and heat and mass balances

The Principal Process Engineer role will include Safety, environmental and operability reviews (HAZOP, ENVID, SIL) along with relief system design, including PSV sizing, flare hydraulics and radiation analysis

P&ID development, including selection of design conditions, hydraulic analysis, line sizing and pipe specifications, control valve sizing, equipment isolation, vent and drain systems, cause and effects is also expected of the Principal Process Engineer

It is important the Principal Process Engineer has Technology awareness Refining, Ethylene, Offsites & Utilities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
All applicants for the Principal Process Engineer requirement should be qualified to a minimum of BSc in Chemical Engineering

Candidates for the Principal Process Engineer role will have considerable in Oil & Gas Processing, Refining and/or Ethylene

The successful applicants will have previous experience with Industry Codes and Standards Knowledge of API 520, 521, 526, 527, 2000

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally candidates for the Principal Process Engineer will be a Chartered engineer or a member of an equivalent professional affiliation
