The Company:
Our client is a nuclear specialist, covering both civilian and defence sectors, across the complete lifecycle from New Build, through Operations and Maintenance, to final decommissioning and waste disposal.

The Role:
Responsible for providing Process Engineering support within Engineering to ensure design delivery in accordance with procedures. This includes defining Basis of Design, design budgets, delivery programmes and quality level. Driving visibility of design, risk and CDM reviews and ensuring other legislative requirements are satisfied. Supports Business Development opportunities by way of presentations / meetings as required.

* Reports to Engineering Manager as line manager.
* Normally supervises a design or project team of up to 15 engineering staff, although the team may be supplemented by staff from elsewhere.
* Responsible for the allocation of work and managing quality, progress and cost of the work carried out within the project.
* Regularly interacts with clients and managers of other engineering disciplines.
* Mentoring of subordinate staff.

* Manage Contractors and Sub Contractors.
* Manage Health, Safety and Environment.
* Staff Development

Dimensions and limits of authority

* Responsible for technical Process Engineering decisions relating to respective projects.
* Refers up those matters where there are significant technical impacts on other areas of the project.
* Has responsibility for controlling design budgets and programmes.
* Refers up those matters which impact on project programmes and cost.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant Chemical/Process engineering discipline (Level 12 based on CPGN0204C).
* MIChemE.
* Over 15 years experience in a design and project management environment in a high technology industry (Level 24+ based on CPGN0204C).
* Chartered Engineer.
