The Company:
An oil & gas operator

The Role:
The purpose of this role is to validate market curves, produce the daily PNL, and report the changes in physical and financial exposures and performance. The role will also validate that the company adheres to risk management policies, including monitoring limits as per the Trading Policy.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily P&L, position, and risk limits reports, focusing on Global LNG
- Validate prices feeds from external sources and internal forward curves
- Complete Flash and EOD processes in Endur
- Generate new deals report, obtain sign-off from front office, and perform Day 1 P&L analysis
- Act as a backup for other risk analysts when needed
- Work closely with Front office to provide ad hoc support for the various Business Units
- Streamline business processes and procedures to align with best practices and systems capabilities
- Work closely with IT to ensure that all systems processes are efficient and that all business requirements for upgrades and enhancements are communicated effectively
- Manage user testing of systems functionality and enhancements while providing feedback to key stakeholders
- Provide leadership to, and mentor, other risk analysts in the group
- This role will provide risk management expertise in complex areas and should be able to manage their own work with limited supervision

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience within a trading and risk management organization, including an advanced understanding of the LNG market, or at the minimum,the North American natural gas market or the global crude market.

- Experience with the Endur energy trading risk management system.-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering
- Strong understanding of trading, operations, risk and back office business processes, policies, procedures and controls
- Advanced grasp of trading influences, deal structures and types, interpreting positions, P&L, market to market, trading reporting regulations, financial and management reporting, position reporting, and financial analysis
- Strong business analysis skills, modeling capabilities, research and problem solving skills, computer skills, technologically oriented
- Capable of being independent from front office; able to objectively analyze and report risks and exposures
- Self-starter, highly motivated, result
