The Company:
Our Client is a an international Oil and Gas Contractor. They are currently experiencing rapid growth and development on projects. Due to this they have an ever growing need for the best Engineers available.

The Role:
Our client has varied and interesting work across all phases of projects and this is an opportunity for you to be involved in the execution of these projects and to work for one of the industry’s leading contractors. You will be based in their Woking (UK) office, where they execute a broad portfolio of Conceptual Studies, Front End Engineering and Detailed Engineering, primarily for the Oil and Gas sector, but also renewable energy projects.

The successful candidate will be an engineer who has expertise in process safety and loss prevention and can demonstrate the successful application of this expertise on engineering projects. A technically competent, pragmatic approach is essential to provide robust solutions to meet our customers’ needs. Candidates should be capable of leading teams of Engineers or have the ambition to do so in the near future.

This is a Permanent Staff role based in their Woking office, which is a five minute walk from the mainline rail station and has excellent transportation links around the South-East. Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Must be degree educated or equivalent in a relevant engineering (or scientific) discipline.
• Experienced in a range of the following techniques: HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, hazardous area classification, consequence assessment, QRA, ALARP, FEHA, EERA, ESSA, dropped object studies, fault tree analysis, RAM, firewater demand calculations, cause and effects, passive and active fire detection, fire and gas design.
• Broad knowledge of general multi-discipline engineering principles, as applied to onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities engineering and design
• Ability to think innovatively, practically and pragmatically and to react to change efficiently in a structured manner
• Flexible and responsive approach to achieve clients and company requirements
• Must be a strong communicator with the ability to effectively manage and collaborate with peers and clients in an often fast paced environment
• IChemE registered Professional Process Safety Engineer preferred
