Job Title: Principal/ Senior Corrosion Engineer

The Company:
Our client is a leading seabed-to-surface engineering, construction and services contractor to the offshore energy industry worldwide, currently engaged in some of the worlds most technically advanced and high profile projects.

The Role:
Reporting to the Engineering Director as part of the Central Engineering group providing support to projects globally.

You should have experience of asset integrity and operations support, chemicals management, inspection planning, risk based inspection, condition assessment, fitness for service / anomaly assessment and reporting . Experience of working in multidisciplinary groups would be advantageous.

You will also have demonstrable experience and must be conversant with the life cycle of pipelines and operational philosophies for corrosion monitoring and mitigation, the associated corrosion monitoring and inspection techniques, defining and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), corrosion and erosion modelling and preparing reports thereof.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline. Sound understanding of Project Operations Structures and cost control IT literate. Must be fully familiar with MS Office, In depth knowledge of written scheme requirements, industry codes and practices. Must be a self starter and use own initiative.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Familiarity with Integrity and Inspection software and associated databases. Project management experience. Integrity Engineering experience within Operator and Contractor companies. Considerable offshore Inspection Operations experience in a senior role. Working knowledge of computerised inspection management systems i.e: COABIS, Scope, Visualworks, PRISM, Digital Video systems etc
