The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing staff and contract Principal/Senior Process Engineers to join the North East Office as part of a growing process engineering team for an ongoing upstream Oil and Gas compliance project.

The candidates will be talented, motivated individuals wishing to develop their skills in a team environment. The individual will be required to respond to the lead engineer performing calculations, completing datasheets, registers, preparing reports and studies and updating P&IDs.

Simulation skills are required with competency in the use of Hysys as a minimum and preferably also Flarenet. Previous upstream relief and blowdown experience designing to API standards is essential.

Familiarity with BP Engineering standards GP 44-70 & 44-80 and offshore design experience would also be beneficial (but not essential)

Good communication and presentation skills are essential. Some travel may be required.

Core Responsibilities

•To provide Process engineering work as directed by the Lead Process Engineer

•To clearly understand the Codes and Standards applicable to the work carried out and raise deviations where necessary

•To plan own work and be responsible for maintaining work progress (budget, schedule) and raising change documentation where necessary.

• Liaison with client, vendors and outside parties in a professional manner

• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experienced Chartered Engineer preferred
Must have substantial extensive engineering experience
Extensive Upstream Oil and Gas experience
Extensive pressure relief system design
Staff or contract position - up to 3 years duration
