The Company:
Our client is a Global Engineering & Construction (E&C) Group inside which you’ll find an incredible range of expertise and opportunity.
They offer their clients a complete range of skills and services so that they can work with their teams right from the earliest ‘ideas’ stage of their planned investments, through the study or concept selection phase, the front-end design, the EPC phase, and on into the commissioning and start-up phase.

The Role:
• Oversee the Process Design work performed by the EPC Contractor, with support as needed from specialists within Client’s Reading office
• Become familiar with the FEED packages and current refinery information sources to detect and resolve conflicts and to help the PMC team respond to issues raised by
EPC contractors
• Familiarise with Process philosophies - Flare & venting, overpressure protection, safeguarding systems, waste water and isolations
• Familiarise with Licensed technology PFDs, P&IDs, Data sheets
• Review EPC Contractor’s design data for Process systems – P&IDs, line lists, equipment datasheets and design pressure temperature diagrams
• Review EPC Contractor’s design data for Utility systems - Flare system, Relief & vent header systems, blow down systems, steam mass balances, emission systems
• Particpate in Safety Reviews as required
• Review Vendor data for key process equipment
• Familiarise with selected Shell DEP requirements as these will be applied to each contractor's work
• Review Piping tie-ins (process / utilities), ensure that piping tie-ins are as identified during the FEED
• General communication & regular meetings with EPC and Client
• Provide Process Design expertise in support of the Client’s team for the detailed engineering of this project
• Display a good overall knowledge of all types of Process equipment found on refinery projects
• Oversee process/utility interfaces between Contractors and Client across the MAA/MAB and FCC Packages

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Chartered Engineer status is preferable
• Experience of refinery work.
• Good level of spoken and written English
• A proven track record of working on FEED and EPC phases for major refinery projects
• Proven PMC / Owner’s Engineer experience
• Knowledge of Shell DEPs, as well as international codes and specs, would be beneficial
• Minimum industrial experience (years) : 15
• Experience in Process Design (years ) : 12
