The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
We are seeking a Principal Subsea Operations Engineer, reporting directly to the Engineering Services manager and working as an integral part of the Engineering Services team responsible for operations, inspection, monitoring, maintenance and intervention of Subsea in Operations.


Pre-Operational Phase responsibilities:

Development of the IMR activities of the subsea asset, in liaison with the IMC contractor where necessary
Identifying opportunities which will result in optimized operating costs or increase production and ensuring that these are fully exploited
Specifying, negotiating and recommending support contracts for relevant subsea operations activities and managing contracts for life of field contracts for IMR vessel
Managing EPRS strategy and implement EPRS contracts and spares requirements
Ensuring integrated in company contracts
Technical support and monitoring during manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, testing and installation of subsea equipment.


Operations phase responsibilities:

Ensuring all modifications follow the Technical Change Management System
Identifying and managing opportunities during the “Assess” and “Select” phases
Preparing the scopes of work for minor/medium CAPEX/OPEX
Facility budget contribution
Managing expenditure of approved budget items within the discipline scope of work
Participating in or leading incident investigations.



Prior to startup you will use your experience to provide technical and operational input during Detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning. In addition, you will be part of the development of key operations systems and processes. This may require you to be deployed to international design offices and construction yards or to assist operations readiness activities within the Perth office.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Key qualifications and skills required:

15+ years’ experience in supporting oil and gas operations with experience in subsea engineering, subsea operations. Major project design/operations experience would be advantageous
Experience spanning offshore oil & gas platforms and FPSOs
Experience in developing IMR scope of work, and inspection/ intervention subsea asset
Degree in Mechanical, Process or Engineering Degree
