The Company:
Our Client is the Operator of one of the largest remaining gas fields with estimated reserves of about 3tcf, to be produced during a 30 year lifespan, will meet about 8% of the country's gas requirements.

The Role:
25% Manage Company business compliance programs including:
maintaining Company DoA, controlling SAP master data, monitoring & controlling SAP permissions and possible SoD conflicts, ensuring understanding and compliance with Business Conduct & Ethics policy and other Company policies.
35% Lead Company vendor audit program – establish annual schedule, arrange timing, scope etc; performing all testing (including Contract compliance work); summarizing all findings; liaising with vendor and contract managers to agree on findings and recover any overcharges; preparation final reports for all audits.
Provide details from audits to contracts specialists and contract managers to help negotiate more favourable commercial terms for new or extended contracts.
15% Prepare for and coordinate joint venture & corporate audits. Conduct internal reviews and identify control risks and implement process improvements to eliminate or mitigate the risks. During audits, ensure all information requests have owners and responses are timely.
5% Coordinate Company's Business Continuity Planning. Ensure plans are reviewed and updated annually. Arrange periodic exercises and arrange any necessary training.
5% Facilitate Company Audit Committee meetings and provide management reporting to Company's Asset Management Team, Company Operating Committee & Company Board on audits’ status, and compliance performance.
5% Mentor Contracts Compliance Analyst and provide direction to accounting staff on invoice review and approvals.
10% Maintain knowledge of parent companies’ compliance policies and procedures for BC&E. Conduct training and awareness programs for Company management and personnel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate should:
• be a qualified accountant and/or auditor
• have several years of audit experience & extensive knowledge of financial controls, compliance & accounting processes
• have attention to detail when reviewing contracts and financial records
• have the ability to learn and keep pace with ever changing compliance issues and requirements
• be a good team player and be able to work with all senior managers at Company.

Scope Factors:

• Company annual expenditure is over £110 million mostly through contracted services
• 140 active contracts
• Onshore & offshore personnel > 500
• Corp assurance audits take place every 2 or 3 years and review the entire range of business services activities (Finance, Contracts, SCM, & IT).
• 5 vendor audits per year
