The Company:
A major Operator is looking for a Process Engineer for a project based in France.

Summary:
A member of the Project Team, reporting to the Engineering Mgr, responsible for the delivery of process+flow engineering, and process safety and design safety scopes on the Project. This covers the new jetty system and the existing Depot (tank farm) modifications required as part of the project completeness. Also responsible for all interfaces and their adequate management.

The Role:
- Support project delivery and assurance in accordance with project philosophies, standards and specifications.
- Hold the project to the Company standards by ensuring compliance to the group and segment ETPs
- Lead the work with Contractors on process and flow assurance studies.

This shall cover the following elements:

1.Pipeline system flow in service: i.e. to cover both head-loss issues, and • flow separation issue by physical pigs and flow dynamics
2. Surge study: import and export - and associate it with valve’s closure sequence and timing. The surge is one of the most important hazards to the tank farm, hence the need to integrate this with from the jetty to the storage tanks including all the site mods.
3. Relief system / Depressurisation system
4. Nitrogen line, VRU techn data
5. irefighting systems: active and passive etc…
6. Drainage system
7. Utilities (power, water, air, …etc.)

- Provide necessary process data and guidance for the systems design (pipeline, pig launchers, loading arms, manifolds, equipments, …).
- Take ownership of all the process data of the project BoD. Owns the PIDs and PFDs in an integrated manner with the Terminal PIDs.
- Take ownership of the Design Case for Safety for the project (DCfS), and transition that into an Ops CfS
- Develop process safety studies particularly: SIS functional and process requirements, and site safety plans and plant layouts’ requirements.
- Responsible for the development and implementation on operations, control, and isolation philosophies for flow and pigging. It shall include also alarms settings, relief, shutdowns, isolations and restart sequences, isolations, unplanned events, etc….
- Specify the process requirements for all valves, for control valves, and for all pumps
- Engineer and specify the complete Fire analysis and Firefighting system: alarms, layouts, equipment, pumps, etc…
- Take ownership and have the project overall fire hazard management plan (FHMP) developed and approved by the relevant SETAs
- Engineer shall develop safety and process risk studies. Identification and specification of SCE and their respective performance standard.
- Prepare and Organize HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL sessions and lead the followup of these with tracking and ensuring actions implemented in design through full closure. Work closely with the I&E engineer. All safety studies covering the jetty and the Depot modifications.
- Responsible for HAZID actions tracking to closure and its reporting
- Responsible for project interfaces between disciplines and with Contractors. Engineer shall develop and maintain an interface process for the project.
- Define and undertake technical review of Contractor design deliverables in this discipline area.
- Participate in technical bid reviews; providing input during procurement and testing of equipment. Particularly verification of head losses in loading arms and through pumps.
- Provide leadership on HSSE issues to deliver HSE goals. Ensure adherence to Company Golden Rules.
- Provide guidance on appropriate designs and systems to prevent, control and mitigate risks.
- Develop Operation procedures and ER procedures specific to the Aquarius facilities. ARM=Alarm Response Manuals, C&E=Cause and Effects diagrams,… Work closely with the site and project operation engineer.
- Develop process and process safety requirements for pre-commissioning and commissioning of the sub-systems and overall system.
- Provide leadership on HSSE issues to deliver HSE goals. Ensure adherence to BP Golden Rules and BP Code of Conduct.
- Provide guidance on appropriate designs and systems to prevent, control and mitigate risks.
- Provide assistance in the development of Project Reliability Assurance and Knowledge Plan.
- Participate in project reviews and ensure they are effective and address all appropriate process and design safety design.
- Verify compliance with the safety dossier developed by the project for the French regulation approval in view of permitting and licence.
- Provide the present discipline expertise for Management of Change (MoC) and hold a strict verification of MOC process and its application from the time the design is freeze after the HAZOP+LOPA.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Anticipation and communication skills are essential. Ability to work in both French and English languages is highly desirable. Flexibility to multi-disciplines and overall engineering broad base is also preferred and shall be demonstrated by the candidates.
Work location: FEED Contractor’s office in France (Paris or South of France, still tbd). During EXECUTE one should assume location in Frontignan site.
Experience candidates >10years in the industry and in projects preferred.
