The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Supervise the operations and maintenance of the Process Control systems; maintain and upgrade related software and hardware systems. Continuously evaluate all process control systems for reliability and proactively seek methods to optimize the relevant processes.
1. Provide support for the Control System equipment and software; covering configuration, maintenance, repair, development, documentation and training for control applications, Process Control Strategy Documents (PCSD), process control databases, etc.
2. Serve as a technical representative on the process control system and provide recommendations on projects and initiatives where these control systems are engineered and installed.
3. Identify, develop and participate in Process Control projects from initial conception and specification through to final implementation and commissioning.
4. Provide Process Control knowledge and expertise to process safety risk assessment activities. Using this technical expertise, provide evaluation and review of the capability of the vendors and contractors, determining their acceptability to perform services to the company.
5. Participate in process safety management investigations, providing knowledge and expertise on all process control matters.
6. Provide appropriate electronic and hard-copy documentation relating to Process Control systems and configuration, and maintain where appropriate, that documentation up to date.
7. Identify the company’s needs for process control tools, technologies and resources and provide recommendation to the leadership team on how to address these needs.
8. Identify and implement opportunities where improvements in safety, environmental performance, reliability, cost and/or rate may be realized by improvements in Process Control.
9. Ensure that process control work is compliant with relevant site and legislative requirements, including process safety management requirements.
10. Ensure that all principles, procedures and practices are strictly comply with EH&S guidelines, regulatory and permit requirements.

11. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Process Control, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Certification on ISA-CAP (Certified Automation Professional)
