The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Process Control Engineer to join the Manchester Office on an agency basis to support a large Oil and Gas Project.
• The Process Control Engineer will report to the Lead Process Engineer
• The Process Control Engineer supports, develops, designs and implements the process control systems to provide specialist DCS support, identify and implement opportunities for process control improvements in conjunction with the Process Design Engineers.
• Traditional advanced control design (excluding multivariable), implementation and maintenance to provide robust improvement of plant profitability and asset optimisation, including continuous improvement of plant process control including alarm management; Graphic User Interfaces (GUI) implementation and support for operator and engineering functions.
• Maintain and develop process control strategy, procedures, standards and control scheme documentation to ensure consistent application of control schemes.
Provide specialist engineering support for SIS systems, for life cycle phases of : design, development, modification, commissioning and ensure compliance with industry and company standards. Responsible for identifying, evaluating and implementing opportunities to improve the safety, reliability and operability performance. Support manufacturing team SIL (Safety Integrity Level) reviews and modification development. Maintain and develop SIS strategy, procedures, standards and control scheme documentation to ensure consistent application of SIS.
• Ensure that the integrity of the site’s SIS logic solvers is maintained to the appropriate standard.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experienced Process Engineer in Oil and Gas 8 years minimum.
• Proven track record of process control with 5 years minimum working on continuous chemical processes
• Must have right to work in UK.
• Chartered or Professionally recognised status is essential.
• Degree (or equivalent) in Chemical, Electrical or Control Engineering
