The Company:
Is an International Supplier of process technology, products, engineered systems and technical services to the Refining & Petrochemicals Industry.

The Role:
Currently looking for a Process Design Engineer, you will perform and / or coordinate all aspects of the design of customized process systems. This will entail generating basic heat and material balances, utility balances, specification and sizing of vessels and related components, preparation of process and instrument data sheets, computer simulation studies and development of PFD's and P&ID's.

As a Process Design Engineer your main duties will involve:
• You will function as the technical liaison externally to the customer and contractor and internally to the Sales, R&D and Technical Service groups.
• You will function in a technical management capacity supervising a matrixed team of engineers. Ideal position for the "hands on" engineer willing to be involved in not only the process / project aspect of the job but also the mechanical detail issues of project implementation.
• Opportunity to work closely with experts in refining and petrochemical processes. The nature of project implementation requires close coordination with Technical Service, R&D, Sales, and Equipment and Systems to take a project from conception through design and project implementation using operations feedback to improve future designs.
• Opportunity to be involved in revamp type work requiring close coordination with the customer and contractor and the capability of coming up with innovative design solutions to specific operating issues. This often includes travel to site to address equipment installation issues.
• Light travel < 10 %. Will increase with experience and responsibility.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Ideally you will have a Chemical Engineering background with experience in a process or project engineering position involving refining or petrochemical process technology.
• Experience of Hydraulic Calculations and Process Simulation.
• Project management skills.
