The Role:
Requires minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and may have an advanced degree and/or 10-15 years of experience in applying the discipline skill(s) to oil gas projects. Familiar with most of discipline's concepts, practices, and procedures. Offshore Topsides design, unisim modeling experience, equipment spec sheet experience, flare and relief, general safegaurding experience.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks while effectively managing the interfaces. May lead and direct the work of others. Demonstrate breadth in applying skills to different project phases and working knowledge / experience in other related disciplines. Resolves highly complex technical issues and provides technical assurance in areas of discipline expertise. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Demonstrate a commitment to HSSE and show leadership to foster appropriate behaviors and ensure compliance with HSSE rules and policies.
Perform process engineering design for oil and gas production systems which are often part of an in-house engineering effort through front end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning and start-up. Majority of time and effort will be supporting surface (topsides) facilities design, but also in conjunction with other disciplines ensuring the appropriate design of production systems from well to export destination including subsea production systems, chemical delivery, and export infrastructure.

A large part of the process engineering effort is focused on Process Safety and Asset Integrity and the candidate is expected to exercise strong technical skills and diligence in this area.
The team will typically comprise a mixture of engineers and in-house contract staff working in an integrated team. The candidate is also expected to be able to work with other disciplines and functions, and exercise appropriate coordination and influence to deliver successful production systems from well to export.

Provide process engineering input and oversight where projects are being executed by external contractors /operators and those being executed under Engineering Framework Agreements (EFA).
Additionally, candidate is expected to be able to:

Perform typical detailed process engineering calculations and analyses.
Be very proficient with process modeling software, such as Unisim.
Have experience participating or facilitating HAZOPs.
Experience with Flare and Relief Systems and Safeguarding.
Guide others in the application of Process Engineering guidelines and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
Network within incorporate and share knowledge and best practices.
Work in a team environment and handle multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision
Maintain relationships with stakeholders (subsurface, flow assurance, production chemistry, discipline and project engineers, managers, counterparts in Asset operating unit) to ensure success of total project

Be familiar with, comply and enable others to comply with corporate standards and work processes.
Provide input to technical standards and guidelines when needed.
Coach and mentor less experienced staff.
Support discipline development and communication.
