Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
"This role would involve activities such as: -
Act as the T&PPG representative ensuring business processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, improved and maintained according to ISO TS 16949 and other applicable industrial standards - Support T&PPG management in the review, audit and improvement of the quality system - Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of the department - Act as internal TS 16949 and ISO 9001 auditor and as FMEA and Lessons Learnt coordinator - Lead Quality activities, establish schedules, and maintain T&PPG accreditation and conducting regular reviews. - Create and provide T&PPG input to TBEM."
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. A practical, Quality mind-set.
2. Sound knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 9001 automotive quality systems and processes
3. Close attention to detail, good data management and decision making skills.
Skills Preferred: "Additional expected responsibilities: - Maintaining a focus on continuous improvement aligned with departmental KPis and Quality operating methods as well as with T&PPG vision. - Smarter working and efficiency in all activities, to ensure optimum output quality, operating costs and delivery lead-times. - Maintain an awareness of industry trends. Whilst Gaydon based, candidates will be expected to be mobile with regular travel to each of our Press Shops anticipated, as well as occasional overseas travel."
Experience Required: "Knowledge of automotive core tools (FMEA, control plan, 8D) Suitable applicants are likely to possess a relevant degree or PhD although this is not essential if the individual can evidence the necessary capabilities. Good leadership and effective communication skills, confident written and verbal communicator."
Experience Preferred: "Knowledge and familiarity with key processes, facilities and technologies used throughout the pressed parts process chain. A good level of business acumen. "

The Tooling and Pressed Parts Engineering Group is responsible for forming technologies, tooling programmes and facilities for all vehicles. This includes managing the development, manufacture and successful launch of tooling and equipment into nominated press facilities as well as providing the foundation for companies drive towards world class BIW quality and cost performance. Within this group, the Technology, Standards and Business Office is responsible for developing and deploying the tools and methods to establish direction and drive improvements to the overall enterprise encompassing such things as capacity planning, technology, materials and process developments as well as quality systems and standards. This Quality Processes role is responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining quality systems that help fulfil the mission and the goals of the department. It necessitates the planning, evaluation and improvement of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency and output.
