The Role:
• Liaise and work with the Subsurface Team to develop reservoir understanding and assure consistency between project flow assurance models (static and dynamic) and subsurface reservoir models.
• Define subsea process engineering and flow assurance work required to support subsea facility engineering decisions and deviations.
• Provide technical oversight and perform technical reviews of the process engineering and flow assurance studies for all start-up, steady state, shutdown and other transient operational scenarios for life of the Project field taking into account the interaction of the Callanish field at the Callanish production manifold.
• Coordinate corporate specialist subsea process and flow assurance studies. Assure that corporate reviews are completed as appropriate and required to secure approvals for AFD and AFE.
• Interpret and utilise the results of subsea process engineering and flow assurance work and specialist studies to assure alignment with the basis of design (BOD) and design premises.
• Assist and influence the completion of suitable BOL platform process and utility systems capacity studies. Assure that BOL process
• Document all work for subsequent use by operations to meet CoP CPMS deliverable requirements.
• Communicate performance of subsea systems to Operations and Commercial groups.
• Participate and provide input as required to risk analysis and modelling.
• Participate and provide input into HAZOP /HAZID and cause and effect reviews.
• Assist and provide input as required for the safety case.
• Provide oversight and review of P&ID development.
• Assist and provide input into the operating procedures and guidelines for consistency with the project basis for design and design premise.
• During detailed design, provide input from flow assurance modelling work to assist with pipe-in-pipe field joint design with respect to cool down time, assessment of insulation and MeOH injection requirements, manifold mechanical design, slugging characteristics to multiphase meter vendor, subsea chemical injection design, gas lift choke sizing.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Field experience with gas lift and dynamic modelling of gas lift in high water cut systems is required.
• Proven project process engineering experience with subsea system tiebacks to North Sea Oil and Gas Platforms.
• Proven track record of process engineering/flow assurance experience to include static and transient flow assurance modelling.
• Good understanding of key reservoir and platform process engineering issues associated with gas and oil subsea system tiebacks.
• Ability to plan and co-ordinate process engineering/flow assurance work.
• Good communications and networking skills to enable agreement of solutions to key process engineering and flow assurance issues.
• Questioning and challenging attitude in the selection of optimum process and flow assurance solutions.
• Ability to provide basis for rational process engineering and flow assurance decisions when under pressure in a project environment.
