The Company:
Our client is a leading oil and gas company.

The Role:
The primary role of this position is to support the ongoing Pressure Relief Device Audit project. In this role, the process engineer will participate in the following tasks:
Ensure that the process design requirements for the project are met and the design is in compliance with regulatory and Company standards as well as International Codes as necessary. Report and process requests for technical deviations and present proposals and alternative solutions when required. Attend technical audits as requested by Management. Actively support other disciplines to ensure inter-discipline coherence and experience transfer. Participate in project risk management process. Provide engineering field evaluations and day-to-day operational troubleshooting. Develop operating procedures as well as commissioning and start-up procedure for production facilities. Prepare all aspect of process design requirements including the compilation of scopes of work and specifications for conceptual and FEL development. Typically requires five to seven years of experience in the field or in a related area. Works with a limited degree of supervision within defined processed and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments. Completes a variety of atypical assignments. Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Research applicable equipment information and data to support pressure relief device sizing being done by Siemens. This involves searching Company electronic and physical data information, occasional visits to the field to review with field personnel or verify data accuracy, and frequent communication with vendors to obtain missing information.
• Assess Process Hazard Analysis scenarios to determine if the correct sizing basis has been used in the sizing calculations.
• Validate sizing calculations performed by Siemens when necessary.
• Assist design teams with corrective action design requirements.
Secondary roles for this position will be to act as process engineer for Company led projects. This may entail working with the design team to determine project process flow and layout requirements, working with other disciplines on sizing process devices and mechanical equipment, performing PHA’s and related activities, or overseeing engineering contractors performing such tasks.
The position is expected to actively participate in Company personal and process safety programs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BS degree in Engineering

• Working knowledge of process hazard analysis or HAZOPS techniques, including Layer Of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
• Experience with HYSYS.
• PSV and PRD sizing experience.
