The Company:
Our client operates in the oil and gas sector.

The Role:
Our client is seeking a Process Engineer for the Execute Phase, to be based at the Project Design Office in London.

The Process Engineer will work as part of the Project Engineering & Quality Team reporting to our client's Lead Process Engineer. The post holder is a key member of the team and the post will be ideally suited for someone who is keen to move onto the next level as a Technical Authority.

While the core role is to provide engineering oversight during the Detailed Design phase, the position will also require integration with Project Construction, Commissioning, Start-up and Operations teams.

Key Accountabilities
•Demonstrate strong safety leadership in all aspects of Process Engineering
•Provide oversight to the Topsides and Drilling Design Contractors during the Detailed Design Phase
•Attend HAZOP, LOPA and other project reviews
•Act as deputy for the our client's Lead Process Engineer, subject to competency assessment, and assist with HAZOP action close-out and document sign-off
•Provide Process Engineering technical guidance to the Operations team for the development and auditing of process systems and procedures to ensure technical integrity is maintained at all times
•Provide Process Engineering technical guidance /support to the Commissioning team for the construction yard/offshore commissioning phases to ensure technical integrity of the Process design is achieved / maintained.
• Provide Process Engineering technical support to the development and acceptance of the Process Simulation models that will drive the Operator Training Simulator (OTS)
•Provide technical guidance to the Start-up Team in the generation of the performance start-up testing program, to quantify the actual and potential capacities of the facility
•Attend the Production Forecasting Forum as representative from the Engineering & Quality Team
•Participate in Production Technical Limits reviews
•Coach, mentor and contribute to the professional development of graduate process engineers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Education
•A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
•Ability to demonstrate strong HSE awareness
•Intermediate experience in the petroleum industry
•Chartered Engineer or equivalent recognised professional accreditation
•Recognised track record in process engineering delivery
•Strong knowledge of and experience in principles and applications of Integrity Management and Continuous Improvement
•Demonstrated ability to work in a busy environment with multiple discipline teams
•An open and flexible attitude with a commitment to teamwork
•Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with very strong communication (verbal and written) and participation skills
•Willingness to listen to and implement others solutions
•A strong willingness and ability to coach, train and develop staff

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Desirable Criteria and Qualifications
•Experience of working with engineering contractors on a Major Project
•Field experience in offshore operations
