The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
You will be a process engineer with leadership skills and with experience in process design of Dow High Pressure Low Density Polyethylene Tubular or equivalent technology to support safe, reliable and optimum operation in the following areas:

• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning & start-up
• Support production and drive technology improvements
• Identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot by analyzing operating data
• Work with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Reliability and third party technology licensors
• Develop process engineering scope for improvements, optimization and capital projects
• Support studies and activities related to process safety and environment
• Support Operation in major process upset investigations
• Follow and maintain process engineering standards and specifications
• Manage process engineering technical data
• Mentor, coach and develop new hires

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering

Ten to Fifteen (10-15) years of experience in process design in Dow High Pressure Low Density Polyethylene Tubular or equivalent technology.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Requires hands-on experience in using process engineering tools for process simulation, hydraulics, overpressure protection, sizing equipment, and sizing instruments

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Skills & Expertise Required Process Engineering Skills:

• Lead / provide technical support for executing improvement projects
• Review & interpret plant operating data for trouble shooting and to Identify plant improvement opportunities
• Improve and optimize manufacturing processes to maximize productivity, reliability and safety the plant equipment & processes
• Develop Aspen process simulation models
• Process design of columns, thermal design of exchangers in HTRI/HTFS, and process design of other process equipment & Instruments
• Hydraulic analysis
• Prepare / update engineering documents and raw materials / utilities reports
• Review, update & prepare safety relief systems documentation to protect equipment and piping
• Assess safety and environmental impact of the plant
