The Role:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide day-to-day engineering support for production activities
• Ensure highest safety standards and continuity/optimisation of hydrocarbon production

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Support offshore and terminal operations teams in the safe and efficient delivery of production targets
• Liaise with platform operations and well performance team to optimise well line up and tune plant equipment for enhanced production.
• Act as a technical resource for the Field Technologist / Operations Team Leader.
• Identify scopes of work to enhance production and safety performance
• Assist with the development and update operating instructions, procedures and routines
• Prepare and review procedures and review work-packs to allow the safe implementation of engineering/construction works
• Ensure daily communication with site teams, review production reports, identify production performance issues and ensure that reporting interfaces are effective and constant
• Liaise with pipeline operators to ensure all activities are co-ordinated between platforms and onshore reception facilities
• Prepare and co-ordinate shutdown tasks, associated materials and services and offshore campaign work programmes
• Review leak testing programmes for shutdown campaign work.
• Assist SE/ENV with liaising with external agencies e.g. DECC on production;/environmental issues such as flare consent, overboard water quality and chemical usage
• Work closely with onshore based well performance, maintenance, inspection and methods teams, business development, projects, subsea and contractor representatives to ensure best practice and technical solutions are delivered
• Undertake regular offshore/site visits to review ongoing work programmes and support operations personnel
• Develop and maintain highly effective and productive relationships with internal and external contacts
• Undertake trouble-shooting activities to resolve issues and participate in HAZOPs as required
• Ensure the change management procedure is correctly applied for all modifications
• Perform duties as proponent engineer for class II mods undertaking Mod assessments as required
• Keep asset data-book up-to-date and issue departmental deliverables such as dashboards on time
• Attend safety related meetings as a representative of Operations: Risk Assessment, HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Assessment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Process/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent
Appropriate experience in oil and gas process/production
Good knowledge of onshore/offshore/pipeline process and production systems
Good computer skills – technical, office, process modelling systems, etc.
Knowledge of industry norms and specifications
Experience of working on an operations site environment, either on or offshore
