The Role:
Process Engineer site based role (Middlesbrough) within the CATS Area Engineering Support Team.

The role is an Optimisation Engineer who will work to develop our pipeline and processing modelling tools and then embed them into the CATS operation. This person will then provide support to the CATS Operations, Gas Administator and AES teams in day-to-day operation and shipper management / TAR planning. The key focus of the role will be to ensure that reliability and processing capacity of the CATS Terminal and Pipeline are maximised. The position is envisaged to be initially 12 -18 months with a view to extend as required.

Role requirements:
• Process engineer with minimum of five years operational site experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals industry (not design house)
• Preferably a chartered engineer
• Detailed Hysys and excel skills required
• Experience of plant optimisation a definite advantage
• VBA and Linear programming experience / ability a definite advantage

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Intermediate level professional position. Responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and plants (from pilot to fully operational). May require a bachelors/masters degree and experience (related to level) in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. At higher levels, may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.
