The Company:
A major operator is seeking a 12+ months contract Process Engineer based in Houston, Texas. The Process Engineer will provide specialist technical support for process engineering work in the LNG Upstream venture. The PE will also provide process engineering design input to projects and projects with JV partners during the early development and concept selection stages.

The Role:
Provide process engineering input to the LNG upstream field development and gas processing plant across the gas chain.

• Oversee the process engineering element of contractor performance on conceptual studies, FEED and detailed design work.
• Lead or participate in PEER assists, PEER Reviews and Technical Assurance reviews to add value and ensure compliance with the Assurance Framework and approvals procedures.
• Assist in the development of best practice corporate guidelines, processes and procedures.
• Liaise with Development Managers, Subsurface professionals, Operations and Commercial Managers to support development opportunities and deliver optimized proposals.
• Identify opportunities for technology development and pursue with sources of expertise.
• Provide ad-hoc support to wider Venture Project Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BSc / MSc / MEng degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer.
• Extensive experience of process engineering in an exploration and production Facilities/Development Engineering environment, with experience in onshore and offshore oil and gas production and processing facilities.
• Experience of a client/operator environment and knowledge of breadth and depth of process engineering needed to enable quality control of contractor technical work, ensuring appropriate techniques and standards.
• Ability to perform process simulation and calculations to support their evaluations.
• Knowledge of fluid flow and flow assurance.
• Good understanding of E&P surface facilities (process through to operations) and an understanding of interface requirements with subsurface disciplines and commercial to enable incorporation of multi-discipline results into the process engineering element of development studies and FEED work.
• Overseas oil and gas experience
