The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
You will utilise your knowledge to develop and implement of test processes and facilities to deliver the safety, quality delivery and cost objectives. Strategic planning and development and implementation of installation timing plans with key selected Suppliers also form part of this role. The overall responsibility of this role is to be part of a team of engineers responsible for the planning and implementation of new and major changes to engine manufacturing test facilities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Development of test procedures in close collaboration with engineering ¿Support engine mapping exercises. ¿Planning, developing and implementation of test processes and facilities. ¿Provide feasibility statements for Product Development designs to suit manufacturing build requirements. Ensure robust process planning including build simulations and FMEA¿s. Support virtual build events raising and championing issues where appropriate. Support of physical builds at workshop, pilot build and Manufacturing Plant locations, raising and managing issues where appropriate. ¿Support test process strategy for manufacturing. Feasibility of design to suit modern test requirements. Prepare, issue and evaluate supplier Request for Quotations. Test process & equipment verification at suppliers and at home manufacturing facility. Application of Lean manufacturing & design for assembly principles. Develop capable processes ensuring built in quality. Achieve all cost targets for the project. ¿Support man
