The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Process Engineering Specailist - LNG Projects to join the North East Office.

Position as a strategic appointment to work on current and future LNG projects in our client's Teesside office. The successful candidate will lead the LNG Process team typically working, on PMC projects, FEED studies, detailed design and consultancy work our international LNG projects.

The candidate will be a principal level engineer with a proven track record of leading the process effort of successful LNG projects. A detailed knowledge and understanding of LNG import/export terminal design from un/loading, storage, regassification, boil off handling and gas send out is required. In addition experience in the design of LNG production plants (liquefaction), peak shaving plants and other low temperature gas facilities such as LPG, Ethane, Ethylene and Ammonia would be advantageous.

The individual will be able to lead and perform all stages of project process engineering including being able to model using simulators. The candidate will be expected to work on other areas (non-LNG) as dictated by office workloads and manning. These are typically Oil & Gas, terminals, refinery projects, bulk chemicals, industrial gases and specialist support work. Good communication and presentation skills are therefore essential.

Some travel may be required.

Core Responsibilities

•To provide definition of the Process engineering work in assigned Projects, design approach or criteria by skill and experience as directed by the office Lead Process Engineer

•Provide technical support to the Business Development team in winning new contracts

•To clearly understand the Codes and Standards applicable to the work carried out and raise deviations where necessary

•Prior to commencement of any Process work, a Process scope of work (SoW) must be written and agreed with the office Lead Process Engineer (or designated representative). The Process SoW must clearly state the workscope, manhour budget and schedule to complete the work

•Estimate Process manhours for any job using the current TW Process manhour norms

•Responsible for maintaining work progress (budget, schedule) and raising change documentation where necessary.

•Supervision of technical detail, budget and schedule of Process design in Project work where requested by the Lead Process Engineer

•Liaison with client, vendors and outside parties in a professional manner

•Where requested to undertake Process focal point duties

•To plan manhour budgets and schedules for all Projects within the focal point area of responsibility.

•To manage all resources allocated to the focal point area of responsibility (both technically and by discipline specific project controls)

•To liaise with the equivalent client focal point on technical and engineering matters on a regular basis

•Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.

•Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements


Experienced chartered Process Engineer.

Proven track record of LNG project design.

Excellent technical communication and co-ordination skills.

Degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering

Long term strategic appointment.

Staff or contract position, staff preferred.

Must have the right to live and work in the UK
