The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Our client is seeking a Process Engineering Supervisor in the Plastics and Site Logistics Envelope with a primary responsibility in the following key areas:

• Develop, coach, mentor and lead a team of five to ten process engineers
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning & start-up
• Support production and drive technology improvements
• Lead operational analysis
• Lead troubleshooting, identification of bottlenecks and optimization
• Work with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Reliability and third party technology licensors
• Develop, lead, track and report the asset capability metrics
• Lead process studies and development of process engineering solutions for improvements and capital projects
• Follow and maintain process engineering standards and specifications
• Manage technology and process data including Aspen simulations, energy optimization studies, off-line process optimization, material balances and catalyst performance
• Support Operation in major process upset investigations
• Work with functional leadership teams and individual departments to establish vision, key elements, annual goals / plans and accountability, and lead process engineers to achieve the assigned goals
• Develop specialized in-house process engineering expertise
• Intellectual property oversight

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering

Minimum of fifteen (15) years of professional experience in process engineering with at least ten (10) years in one or more of the following technologies:

• High Pressure Low Density Polyethylene (HP LDPE) Technology
• Solution Technology for Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)
• Solution Technology for Polyolefin Elastomers (POEs)
• Solids Packaging and Liquid Handling Center
• Tank Farms
• Loading Facilities and other Site Logistics Facilities

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of ten (10) years in a leadership position (including a lead PE roles on large capital projects)
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Requires hands-on experience in using process engineering tools for process simulation such as Aspen, hydraulics, overpressure protection, sizing equipment, and sizing instruments
• Thorough understanding of EH&S requirements/compliance
• Ability to set and manage the department budget
• Experience in several different similar technologies highly desirable
• Experience in the relevant Sadara process technologies strongly preferred
• Excellent leadership skills
