The Role:
This position is residential in Kazahstan

The purpose of the Engineering organization comprises the following key aspects:
• Provide technical assurance to the company that design, construction and commissioning of projects and plant changes are implemented according to appropriate technical standards, including RoK mandatory standards.
• Support the delivery of all projects and plant changes, covering all offshore and onshore plant, facilities and infrastructure.
• Manage an engineering service, which delivers solutions for the customers (Project and Asset Managers) that meet key business goals such as asset integrity, availability, reliability and product quality.
• Ensure a structured approach to transfer knowledge from expatriate staff to national staff.

The Process Engineering Team Lead provides leadership and expertise on all aspects of Process Engineering.

• Assures technical integrity of installations throughout their life cycle. This includes responsibilities for the Technical Authority 1 (TA1) role for the Process Engineering & Technology discipline:
o Approves the list of Codes & Standards to be used for their disciplineo
Makes decision or clarifies the interpretation of Codes & Standards during application
o Approves the list of business critical deliverables for their discipline
o Appoints the TA-2’s and TA-3’s
o Approves/rejects requests for deviations from the approved Codes & Standards
o Reviews business critical deliverables requiring TA-1 endorsement as appropriate to their Discipline
o Provides a report twice a year upon the health of his discipline to the TA-0
o Participates in technical and compliance audits
• Is accountable for exercising appropriate discipline controls for projects throughout the ORP phases (Identify, Assess, Select, Define, Execute)
• Leads Process Engineering support to Operation. This primarily involves providing discipline input as required into the commissioning / start-up of new or modified plant, the maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of existing plant and requires an effective interface with the Operations organization for Process facilities
• Ensures high quality of the critical as-built documents and drawings related to the discipline for assets and for all projects
• Manages team work assignments, work load, work forecasting for planned project work for these projects, and ensures that the team is adequately resourced in terms of both capacity and capability
• Contribute to development of Engineering Technology plan
• Leads or participates in critical HSSE reviews such as HAZOP reviews

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• An engineering degree and minimum 15 years relevant engineering, maintenance and/or operations experience
• Recognised specialist in the global Process Engineering skill pool
• Significant field experience gathered from a wide range of locations
• Ability to quickly establish relationships with practitioners to ensure discipline engineering processes and standards are consistently applied
• Aware of & familiar with issues surrounding high pressure and high H2S facilities, and have managed staff in a similarly challenging high-risk environment
• Well proven interpersonal & communication skills
• Experience of driving business improvement in engineering, key words being: technology, fit-for-purpose solutions and cost effectiveness
• An energetic person with drive and stamina who is solution-oriented, customer-focused and who can deal with a multitude of, at times, challenging interfaces.
