The Role:
Major Duties (general job functions, responsibilities, day-to-day tasks & activities)
 Develop draft policies, standards or specifications, procedures, guidelines (PSPG’s) for review and approval by all affected parties.
 Gather and review vendor operating manuals, P&ID's, Cause & Effects Matrixes for development of operating procedures and guidelines.
 Work with Operations Teams to observe operating tasks, validate information gathered and gather media for development of all procedures.
 Ensure all PSPG’s are developed in accordance with the approved templates to ensure consistency and quality of all documents.
 Ensure the review and approval process for all PSPG’s is effectively executed and maintained.
 Incorporate comments and changes to Operations PSPG’s from all affected parties based on feedback and change requests received through the on-line Field Manual.
 Ensure document management system procedures are followed during the development, change and approval of all content for the on-line Field Manual.
 Ensure all PSPG’s are appropriately reviewed and updated based on the established validity period.
 Ensure the on-line Field Manual is effectively implemented and maintained.
 Provide training and demonstrations on the use of the on-line Field Manual.
 Work with the Competency Based Training System (CBTS) Coordinator to ensure all changes to PSPG’s are appropriately captured in the CBTS as required.
 Maintain awareness of current and future development in Quality Management in oil and other related industries.
 Develop a Total Quality Management (TQM) culture.
 Maintain the Quality Management System in line with new international standards and corporate policy.
 Ensure the production and laboratory quality management plans are maintained up to date and work closely with the Production, Inspection & Maintenance and Laboratory Teams to ensure necessary change is implemented.
 Work with the DCC to ensure effective implementation of the Engineering Documents & Records Management Programs.
 Lead a team of auditors to execute the Internal and Supplier Audit Program.
 Ensure changes to legislation and corporate policies are executed as required.
 Ensure changes to the Corrective and Preventive Action database are executed as required.
 Report to management on the effectiveness of the Operational Risk Systems and opportunities for improvement.


Requirements (Minimum education required, background, experience, skills)
 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical)
 Minimum 10+ years work experience in oilfield processes and equipment
 Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management Systems
 Demonstrated experience in Quality Auditing
 Experienced Technical Writing ability
 Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
 High computer proficiency
 Knowledge of document management and information delivery software solutions
 Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience
