The Role:
The Role

To ensure that process safety interfaces across all regions projects and wells are working effectively and to drive closer cooperation across regions to share best practice
To drive a coordinated approach to planning of Process Safety improvement activities throughout the business and to integrate this with the HSEQ planning process
Monitor the status of risk control barriers and the level of control of major hazard risks and manage the process safety reporting process.
Implement the Process Safety standard detailing definition, activities and ownership across business and continually review to provide assurance that interfaces are working effectively
Coordinate Regional and business Process Safety improvement plans to ensure that they are incorporated into the overall HSEQ plan
Contribute to peer assists, reviews and lead formal technical assurance reviews
Provide assurance on the implementation and effectiveness of all company safety standards which can impact process safety management including MAH Framework ,MoC, and MAH Risk Assessment standards
Manage the process safety reporting process and coordinate the input of PS performance into the quarterly HSEQ management review
Coordinate Process Safety input to the HSEQ audit plan and facilitate those audits
Manage and facilitate the process safety training programme across business
Ability to assess operational Technical Safety Engineering problems and determine (with others) root causes, and help establish practical solution strategies
Approximately one third of your time will be spent travelling in Europe and Canada.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Chartered Engineer
Strong background in the Oil and Gas industry
Qualifications in HSE Management preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to think and work strategically.
