The Company:
Our Client is a major oil and gas operator who has operations throughout the world. This role will be working within the Safety & Operational Risk arm of my client's business. My client offer a technically challenging environment working for one of the leaders in the oil and gas industry.

The Role:
The Safety and Operational Risk Audit Team identifies gaps in implementation of safety and operational standards to help create the understanding and management of group safety and operational risk.

Based at home this role will involve 50% travel around the world leading and conducting audits of all types of facilities and all company departments and business units. You will need to be able to influence and challenge at the highest level within the entity being audited, using appropriate judgement, experience and communication techniques to ensure clear understanding and acceptance of findings and the actions needed to address these findings.

Key aspects of this role

• Prepare for each audit and the role(s) assigned.
• During audits, analyse evidence, identify gaps and develop findings and corrective actions, supported by suitable evidence in your defined technical field.
• Influence and challenge at a senior level within the entity being audited, using appropriate judgement, experience and communication techniques to ensure clear understanding and acceptance of findings and the actions needed to address these findings.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree and/or professional qualification in relevant operationally focused discipline and substantial hands on operational experience in a major hazard environment.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Broad technical experience and advanced knowledge of own technical or professional discipline, and an extensive working knowledge of other disciplines
