The Role:
My client, one the leading specialist waste and resource management groups in the UK is actively recruiting for a Process Site Manager with plant operations experience and a working knowledge of controls technology gained through the operation of PLC based systems.

The successful candidate will take on responsibility for the management of the operational aspects of the ITD, and will be hands on and be able to demonstrate their ability to successfully drive plant development and the improvement/maintenance of operational efficiency and productivity from the commissioning stage to a fully established process within specified budgets and timescales.

Operational management experience is considered an important aspect of the role as you will be responsible for a team of up to 13 people who will be operating the plant on a 24/7 continental shift system.

The ability to use CAD, experience in carrying out maintenance work and implementing and maintaining plant PPM systems and a developed understanding of the commercial aspects of plant operation will be a distinct advantage. Similarly, it is considered highly desirable that the post holder will have a good working knowledge of current health, safety and environmental legislation and an understanding of these requirements and the manner in which they are to be met when operating plants and processes.
